Portfolio Development Week 11

I know many of you feel like you'd never read a blog. I just find this is the easiest way, for me to communicate. You can email me screen shots of progresses to your self promo website steps. *We'll get into that. Emails: alissa_a@creativecenter.edu and anapeladay@gmail.com

In this course you do need to check in twice a day. This is on administration. I did not make this up.

There are some things we won't be doing because of this COVID-19. This afternoon we were to have Alex Myhre come in. I set up a tour for The Union of Contemporary Arts (Great Type Display). There is a Parent Open House Friday April 3 that's cancelled. A Job Interview. I don't expect that with all things considered. I have no idea about Portfolio Review Night. Certainly if COVID-19 is still in effect we don't want anyone at risk. That one makes me sad! I'll let you know about that.

I attached a copy of the syllabus. I've taken out all the first 1/2 of the class. I think it will be helpful to have!

This part of the class you will be reworking your self promo website. You biggest homework today it to add to the schedule below. You can type up a new one. I want one catered to your needs. Leave what I have, and add. Then do those things.

Ex: One student may want to add an artist FB Pg one day, another student may want to type up an Artist's Statement, for their About Page, and another student may want to spend a day adding and reformatting new work.

The biggest problem I've had in the past is people not following their own schedule. You can do it! You can copy, what you type and send it to me in an email. I do not need a PDF.

These are the website Guidelines. READ PLEASE! Yes I'm yelling that!

You can access the templates here. Grutsch did say that there was a problem with the contact form last year. He said it may be in your best interest to use your website from before. Then add, subtract, and revise.

Reading Assignment: Fill this out like you are at an actual job interview. If it helps assign yourself a place you'd like to interview at, so you can pretend to answer those questions. By week 18, I want to have these answered emailed to me. You can just email me text. Example 1. Apple 2. Banana - Not realistic answers, but you get the point. I don't need you to print this form out to fill out.

I thought it was interesting that Galaxy hired a lady that looked very similar to Audrey Hepburn to act in their commercial.  Sadly she wasn...
